Clifton Fore Plane - No. 6

A quality Clifton 6 Fore Plane.

This impressive fore plane incorporates the design of the ‘BEDROCK’ frog and frog seating pad, a rigid cap iron, an extra thick high carbon steel blade, a ground flat sole within the British Standard of 0.075mm (0.003”), beautiful Walnut rear handle and front knob, and finished with a graphite grey finish.

This plane comes complete with a fully machined frog and an extra thick plane blade made from cryogenically treated 01 tool steel; a combination which holds its edge for much longer than most blades.

Positioned between a Jack and a Jointer in size, the No. 6 Fore Plane is crafted to further true surfaces following the initial sizing / planing by the Jack plane. With its extended length, it effortlessly planes away high spots while spanning low areas, resulting in a levelled surface prepared for the smoothing plane.

Made in Sheffield, England, this Clifton plane comes complete with presentation box and care instructions.
